Innovative Care. Investing in You.

At Wagoner Community Hospital, the words “More Than You Expect” mean something special. They reflect our renewed commitment to you — our neighbors, our families, and our friends. We’re proud to introduce “More Than You Expect” not just as a message, but as a promise: that the care you receive here is rooted in excellence, innovation, and compassion.

We’ve already made great strides in expanding and modernizing what we offer. From new specialty services and upgraded technology to welcoming skilled providers and enhancing the patient experience, we’re building a stronger hospital to meet the evolving needs of our community.

And we’re just getting started.

Progressive Care, Right Here at Home

Our Progressive Care Unit is just one of the many ways we’re advancing healthcare in our community. With enhanced monitoring, specialized treatments, and fewer patient transfers, we’re proving every day that high-quality care can happen close to home.

What Is Progressive Care?

Progressive Care bridges the gap between intensive care and general medical care. It allows us to care for patients with more complex needs — right here in Wagoner. From cardiac and non-cardiac drips to continuous monitoring, our team is equipped to provide a higher level of support without requiring transfer to larger facilities.

Fewer Transfers, More Comprehensive Care

Thanks to our growing capabilities, more patients can begin and continue their treatment without the disruption of being transferred elsewhere. That means faster diagnoses, consistent care, and better outcomes.

24/7 Emergency Services

The Wagoner Community Hospital Emergency Department is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and with an emergency physician and expert support staff always on duty, we are equipped to handle a wide variety of emergent situations quickly and efficiently.

In addition to serving as a receiving station for ambulance and emergency services throughout Wagoner County and surrounding areas, the Emergency Department also has access to all major critical care helicopter transport services.

Our hospital is also classified as an ASRH (Acute Stroke-Ready Hospital), meaning that when seconds count — especially during the “Golden Hour” during or after a trauma such as a stroke — we’re here, equipped and ready to guide patients with rapid diagnosis and quick onset of treatment.

A Growing Legacy of Care

Wagoner Community Hospital is always growing, working to expand certifications, services and capabilities, such as:

We’re Growing to Serve You Better

Our hospital is growing — not just in size, but in scope. We’re proud to offer services that rival larger urban facilities while staying rooted in the personal, compassionate care of a rural community.

As your hometown hospital, we know trust is earned — not just through advanced care, but by being here when you need us most. Every improvement we make is about giving you more access, more expertise, and more heart — right here at home.

Over the next several months, you’ll be hearing from members of our team including our CEO, directors, department leaders, physicians, nurses, and support staff as they share more about the growth of Wagoner Community Hospital and the great care we strive to provide every day. We believe in our community, and in being the kind of hometown hospital it deserves — which is why we will always aim to provide more than you expect, all right here, all close to home!
